Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a Maintenance
Mechanic - 2nd Shift in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will be a critical
first responder for all manufacturing equipment used in lithium-ion
battery production. This role will apply technical skills to
install, maintain and repair highly automated and high-volume
manufacturing systems. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:00pm
Responsibilities \n Perform maintenance repairs on these types of
equipment: Electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3
phase, Mechanical systems, Conveyor Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics
/ Vacuum Systems, PLC and networks. \n Maintain detailed, accurate
records of maintenance activities and repairs in a CMMS. \n Monitor
equipment performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and
implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and enhance
efficiency. \n Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment failures,
ensuring timely and effective repairs to minimize production
disruptions. \n Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve
equipment reliability. \n Troubleshooting complex mechanical
systems - servo motors, ball screws, linear rails, conveyor
systems. \n Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety
standards and regulatory requirements; promote a safe working
environment. \n Adhere strictly to safety standards (LOTO, Arc
Flash, NFPA 70E, OSHA) to promote a safe working environment. \n
Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions of
maintenance tasks and work orders. \n Provide emergency breakdown
response, including occasional on-call availability. \n Physical
presence on the job is essential and necessary. \n Read and
comprehend instructions and follow established procedures. \n Other
duties as assigned by management. \n \n Qualifications Education
and Experience \n 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance,
preferably in the manufacturing sector. \n Journeyman's Card from
an accredited apprenticeship program preferred. \n \n Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities \n Must be comfortable supporting US
military-funded work and building products for US military testing
and use. \n Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and
hydraulic systems; familiarity with lithium-ion manufacturing
processes is a plus. \n Excellent troubleshooting skills with the
ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective
solutions. \n Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs is required with
specific Beckhoff systems' experience strongly preferred. \n
Ability to read prints and suggest modifications as required. \n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively across departments. \n Ability to work
independently with no supervision. \n \n ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To
conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms
Regulations (ITAR) the individual must be a U.S. citizen, lawful
permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by
8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required
