There is never a dull moment with us.Group/DivisionWith over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.Job qualifications:Being able to diagnose and resolve customer server issues.Able to Rack, Stack, and Cable network equipment in datacenters.Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualizationRespond to situations where customer service engineers have failed to resolve complicated system performance problems, by providing written plans of action remotely, or at customer sites in the US, Asia, and Europe.Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processesBeing able to remotely assess the problem and provide a plan of record.Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issuesBeing able to troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating system environments.Provide documentation and technical specifications to field engineers and design engineering team for planning and implementing new or upgrades of server rack infrastructures.Basic knowledge of shell scripting, python, PowerShell.Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines.Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs without assistance.Experience with working in cleanroom environments is a plus.Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover proceduresResponsibilities:Travel between key KLA customer sites at a -10% rate expected for this role.Travel to customer sites in short notice to support escalations.Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsA proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plansExperience with scripting and automation toolsStrong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocolsInteract with customers, peers, and management to troubleshoot server related problems.Perform configuration, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting tasks in support of the end customer.Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalentSystem administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plusMinimum QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or 2 years work experience or Masters Degree and 0 years of experience We offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
