Coordination of field explorations

BSCE required, with E.I.T.
Physically capable of the physical labor required. Ability to
occasionally move 50 to 100 pounds.
Good communication skills, including technical writing
Valid driver's license with a good driving record

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
The person selected for this position will work on a variety of
engineering consulting projects involving traditional geotechnical
engineering analysis and design foundations (shallow and deep);
slope stability and seepage; bearing capacity; settlement;
pavements; retaining walls; and dam evaluations. Responsibilities
also include performing field investigations, overseeing
subcontracted investigation services, geotechnical engineering
analysis using computer modeling; specifying, implementing and
interpreting soil and rock monitoring; overseeing on-site and
laboratory testing; and writing reports. The position involves
field work such as construction quality assurance observation and
geotechnical field investigations. The position will include
executing project management scope, schedule and budget compliance
and will require interfacing and collaborating on these project
with other engineers. This position will require travel for
out-of-town work assignments to meet the needs of our clients.
NOTE: Some work will feature the rough terrain typical of
construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing
equipment. Safety training will be provided prior to being given
work assignments on these sites.
