Project Engineer position is a newly created, long-term position
that offers advancement opportunities for the right person. Someone
with varying experience, including Plant Engineer, Project Engineer
or Process Engineer with a food manufacturer would be an ideal fit.

- Immerse in the company's culture of interdependent
communication and decision making. Must be able to listen and
understand varied points of view in CMC's flat organization
structure, where status, power, and authority are
de-emphasized
- Work cross-functionally with the Engineering and Operations
departments, and interact with Finance, Quality, R&D, and other
departments in the integration of capital projects
- Communicate with, train, and involve employees across
departments and shifts on ideas for process improvements
- Ensure timely execution of and implementation of action
plans
- Work with other project leaders to develop proposals, determine
scope, and develop schedules
- Regularly communicate with Executive team, including the
Director of Manufacturing, CEO/President, COO/EVP, Maintenance
Manager, Electrical Project Engineers, and other
consultants/contractors
- Work with CMC leaders to drive change management and
communication plans regarding capital project implementations and
process improvements
- Demonstrate strength of character to persevere through
obstacles and meet goals
- Create/update standard operating procedures, visual aids,
cleaning procedures, spare parts lists, etc. for new equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Project Management, Food or
Packaging Science preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, project
execution, and process continuous improvement/process engineering
in the food manufacturing industry
- Experience managing major capital projects, including financial
tracking and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced
environment
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Demonstrated success in leadership, developing and maintaining
good working professional relationships with both engineers and
employees working on the floor
- Good understanding / insight of regulatory requirements related
to employee & food safety, building codes, GMPs, HACCP, and
others
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Strong planning, organization, and negotiating skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
