Who We Are:

We develop electronics & embedded systems for vehicle and propulsion system R&D programs aimed at sustainable mobility. Clients are internal, commercial and government. Our growing team also supports SwRI's space research by developing flight hardware.

Objectives of this Role:

• This role supports the efforts if the Electronics and Support team, working side by side with engineers to research, design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded control systems.
• The EaS group provides internal, commercial and government clients with electronics & embedded systems for vehicle and propulsion system R&D programs aimed at sustainable mobility.
• You will directly contribute to the success of our team.
• You will leverage your technical expertise to provide solutions to challenging and varied projects.
  
  Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  
  
  • Provide engineering support to research, design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded control systems including electronics, microprocessors, FPGAs and code.
  • Provide support for light fabrication, assembly, panel work, etc.
  • Support the installation and operation of electrified powertrain test stands.
  • These include motors, inverters, batteries and other vehicle components.
  • Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to meet project requirements.
    
    Requirements:
    
    
    • Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree with a 3.00 GPA in Electrical, Electronics or Computer engineering
    • 3 semesters of related coursework
    • Must have an interest in one or more of the following: Automotive Electronics, Embedded controller design and development, Power electronics design and development, and Vehicle electrification
    • A valid/clear driver's license is required

      Work assignment is in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
