Electrical Technician – Material Handling & Plant Services
Location: Nationwide (Travel Required) Reports To: Field Service
Manager Position Summary Rhino Tool House Service is seeking a
Field Service Electrical Technician with strong electrical and
controls knowledge to support the installation and service of
Material Handling equipment and Plant Services systems. This role
focuses on building, wiring, and starting up systems such as
conveyors, lifts, carts, cranes, and CTEK equipment. The technician
will work closely with mechanical installers and engineers to
deliver turnkey solutions that meet Rhino Tool House’s high
standards of safety, quality, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical installation and wiring of material handling
equipment, conveyors, lifts, and automated systems. Build and wire
control panels, junction boxes, and system components per
schematics and wiring diagrams. Assist with system start-ups,
troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure smooth operation.
Support inspections, preventive maintenance, and service calls for
electrical/controls issues. Collaborate with mechanical technicians
and engineers during builds and installations. Interpret electrical
schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately. Diagnose
and resolve electrical, controls, and PLC-related issues
(experience with PLCs preferred). Complete service reports,
inspection forms, and documentation for customers and internal
teams. Adhere to all safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures,
and customer site requirements. Travel regionally and nationally to
perform installations and service work at customer facilities.
Qualifications 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Technician,
Industrial Electrician, or Controls Technician . Strong electrical
and wiring skills; ability to build and wire control panels and
machine systems. Familiarity with industrial automation equipment
(conveyors, lifts, cranes, carts, etc.). Ability to read and
interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and control systems
preferred. Experience with troubleshooting electrical and control
circuits in an industrial environment. Valid driver’s license;
willingness and ability to travel extensively. Strong communication
and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50
lbs and perform electrical work in industrial environments. Work in
manufacturing and construction environments, sometimes at heights
