Associate Director of Field Operations is responsible for
overseeing Field Operations to ensure the quality of service
provided through accountability of processes and procedures related
to Laboratory Supply Chain. Administers quality process management
of Phlebotomy and Fleet services, while ensuring that all policies,
procedures, and standards of the appropriate regulatory agencies
are met. This position works closely with the Vice President of
Operations to advance strategic corporate business initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES Leads activities to drive Field Operations to
achieve maximum service levels for both Progenity and Avero
laboratory operations. Drives corporate strategic initiatives that
impact service levels, support growth expectations, and meet
financial budgetary goals. Develops strong and collaborative
working relationships with leadership members in laboratory, sales,
senior management, and operations. Provides expert leadership to
managers and department team members who oversee the day-to-day
field operations in each laboratory location. Oversees all
processes related to Logistics, Phlebotomy, Fleet, and outsourced
field supply distribution. Provides subject matter expertise on
shipping clinical specimens nationally and globally, to include
Federal, State, and vendor packaging and labeling requirements.
Evaluates specimen delivery systems, UPS/FedEx shipment performance
to maintain on-time specimen arrivals, manage fleet services, and
ensure necessary staffing levels to meet operational metrics and
demands. Fosters productive vendor relationships with logistics
courier companies, cargo airlines, UPS, FedEx, phlebotomy staffing
agencies, fleet providers, supply chain vendors, and others.
Creates and manages contingency plans for airline delivery
failures, inclement weather, unexpected road and highway traffic
situations, staffing shortages, and other roadblocks outside of
normal business practices that would delay specimen testing at any
or all laboratory testing locations. Demonstrates respect for
patient information, organizational confidentiality requirements,
and HIPAA requirements as defined by law and company policies. This

necessary. REQUIREMENTS 10+ years experience in related field.
