Terumo Cardiovascular - Operations Admin.-EM / At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting. This includes a full-line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products. Our mission is to work as a team to save one more life, today and every day. We do this by providing lifesaving technology to cardiac surgery teams around the world. This position is responsible for the directing single-site manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: improving product quality and yield, development and mentoring of the manufacturing staff, optimizing manufacturing processes, achieving an efficient and cost effective flow of materials from raw material purchases through finished goods shipments. 1.In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. 2.Build and develop the Operations organization (people), processes, and procedures to support strategic vision, while working with and supporting other Senior Management partners to align organizational direction. 3.Coordinate with Quality to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the impact of proposed global regulatory, quality and clinical research changes to current manufacturing processes and impact to market. 4.Ensures compliance with company standards and Quality Management System (QMS) for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety and complete on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost. 5.Develop and execute plans to continuously improve product quality, cost reductions, yield and meet customer needs. 6.Manage capacity requirements by production areas and ensure we implement capacity increases before market requirements. 7.Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies. 8.Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate improved working relationships both internally and externally. 9.Develop and manage budgets for Operations; monitor, and take corrective action to assure that budgets are met. 10.Interface with community, industrial, and government associates as required. 11.Manages compliance with state and federal regulations. 12.Perform other duties as assigned. 13.Utilizes the systems and processes in place to attract, develop, engage, train and retain talented Associates; creating a work environment where Associates can realize their full potential, thus allowing the organization to meet business needs.

  • Requires a four-year college degree and a minimum of ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, of which a minimum of five years must be leadership experience and a minimum of five years must be experience in the medical device industry. Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred. Intermediate computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office.
