Join us. At QIAGEN, you make a difference every day. About the position An Instrument Platform Manager position for the NeuMoDx platform is available immediately with Qiagen. In this critical role, you will play an integral part in improving the continuation and development of the current platform post launch. The focus will be on strategic leadership using industry best practices for a cross-functional team. Bridge and coordinate effective communication from customer requirements, field service with product design and development for the existing platform while driving quality product release from the manufacturing area. Make a significant impact on the company---s strategic objectives concerning the business and executive needs. Responsibilities: Work under the direction of the system development director and portfolio managers to ensure program objectives, including expected cost and project schedule, are maintained with the highest visibility. Lead a cross-functional team to improve the current platform and manage new products transfer to commercialization. Manage program risks and drive the objectives proactively, following a bottom-up development strategy. Coordinate and log strategic problem resolution for identified issues following the quality management system corrective and preventative actions using industry practice for the root cause analysis. Conceptualize and challenge the team and organization in a constructive way to rethink existing assumptions and use a more practical approach for problem resolution. Adhere to industry standards, regulations [FDA, ISO) and ensure sound documentation principles are maintained as needed. Manage technical aspect of exisiting platform, including Change management, complaint management, DHR, DMR regulatory updates that are aligned with changes. Manage Design Transfer and product industrialization. Qualifications: M.S/MBA/M. Eng. in either science, business, or engineering discipline (Preferred an advanced degree in the relevant subject area, e.g., Ph.D. or Doctor of Engineering) with no less than five years medical Industry experience. Evidence of project management professional certification is required with application. 5% travel time may be required based on project needs. An active learner who can acquire new information and incorporate it into their work. Experience leading cross-functional, international, and multi-cultural teams with extended teams is an asset.
