The Manager will build relationships with our vendor base and work collaboratively to ensure compliance with the purchasing strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with solid experience in building the Procurement process and proven success in establishing and monitoring Procurement KPIs. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote).Essential Functions:

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
    • Design and implement sourcing strategies and procurement plans to support Pinkerton Service delivery, corporate and client strategies and objectives.
      • Develop programs and strategies to improve supplier performance and relationships while creating a competitive advantage for Pinkerton.
        • Develop negotiation strategies for supplier contracts, work with inside counsel to identify and incorporate appropriate levels of commercial protection and conduct negotiations to achieve the best possible outcome for Pinkerton.
          • Work with suppliers and have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality, and compliance.
            • Establish, develop, and maintain positive vendor relationships; oversee the identification, investigation, securing and monitoring of new supply sources; interview vendors regarding offerings, trade practices, and methods.
              • Manages the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals.
                • Works with internal and client stakeholders in establishing, managing, creating RFPs, and analyzing purchasing projects
                  • Monitor service level agreements, key performance indicators, and other relevant aspects of the vendor performance, implement corrective action plans, as necessary.
                    • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, and Corporate to assist in the variety of activities surrounding vendor management.
                      • All other duties, as assigned.Education, Experience, and Certifications:5 or more years of experience in a similar role with a mid-large size organization. Bachelor's degree with Purchasing/Procurement certification (CPP or CPPM) preferred.Competencies:
                        • Balance of strong negotiation and relationship-building skills is a must
                        • Experience with spend analysis to develop a sourcing strategy
                        • Ability to demonstrate leadership in Strategic Sourcing Process
                        • Execution oriented, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results
                        • Networking and influencing skills
                        • Project Management Skills - Ability to organize and execute tasks; manage multiple projects
                        • Effective decision making
                        • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
                        • Strong time management, organizational, and presentation skills
                        • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
