We are seeking an experienced, high bandwidth leader, with domain
expertise in high speed electronics and systems integration, to
lead the engineering team andprograms at ENDRA. The Director of
Engineering and Programs will lead programs to include domain
experts in the areas of: ultrasound transducers, high speed data
acquisition, RF power electronics, systems engineering, image
reconstruction, phased array antenna design, software, operations
and regulatory matters. This position will work directly with the
VP of Engineering and CTO and system architect in developing
technology and product roadmaps, and a multi-generational product
development plan.
As a leader in a fast paced, early stage, high-growth company, you
will have accountability for all development programs. Qualified
candidates will have substantial experience in the areas of:
program planning, operations, and program execution, in the
development of new technologies spanning the delivery of a
reference design to pre-production samples. Demonstrated ability to
lead development programs and deliver on:budget, timeline, design
specification, and quality metric commitments is required.
Role and Responsibility
Lead a cross-functional team in hardware/software engineering,
RA-QA, and operations. Identify, and recruit, develop and retain
engineering resources as needed.
Ownership of ENDRA's Multi Generational Product Development (MGPD)
plan.
Execution control and reporting for all engineering programs,
resource, and budget planning and delivery(hardware, software and
integrated systems).
Lead Quality and Regulatory resources to develop and execute
regulatory and quality strategies supporting global MGPD.
Lead operations staff responsible for vendor fulfillment,
inventory, and customer fulfillment and service
Execution control for programs outsourced to: contractors,
consultants, partners and suppliers
Cultivate internal relationships at the corporate and facility
level to gain support and participation in initiatives
Site leader for Ann Arbor, MI headquarters overseeing daily office
operations with direct and cross-functional staff.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelors of Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.Masters'
degree preferred.
5+ years experience in leading medical device product development
teams
Track record of hiring,leading, and empowering top talent to meet
program and company goals
Track record of delivering on commitments, timelines, budgets and
quality metrics.
experience in managing engineering programs with multiple
sub-systems.
High bandwidth, strong leadership with ability to scale to manage
operations and site leadership.
Demonstrated technical leadership, including creative problem
solving. Ability to provide technical and operational leadership at
various organizational levels.
Competence in financial analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Role is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Entrepreneurial spirit: Ability to work in low-structure,
tight-resource environment of early stage, high-growth company.
Experience with full lifecycle program management (program
planning, implementation, execution control, through production
readiness).
Ability to travel overnight, at least twice a month (E.g., supplier
visits).
Work with a sense of urgency: Leads and motivates the team to
deliver on development milestone commitments.
Process oriented with strong operating mechanisms.
Ability to create and deliver executive materials for decision
making.
Demonstrates clear and thoughtful communication.
Demonstrates risk retirement analysis and implementation
