Salary range for Registered Nurses

  • Hourly range for Registered Nurses (0-11 months experience) $33.58/hr
  • Hourly range for Registered Nurses (12+ months experience) $33.64-$52.08/hr
  • Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 per hour
  • Night Shift Differential- $3.40 per hour

    • Large offering of no cost CEs and professional development for advancementResponsibilities*4B is a surgical unit specializing in the post operative care of adult patients undergoing major reconstructive and micro vascular procedures as well as neurosurgical procedures in addition to caring for patients with neurological conditions. The unit has 26 telemetry beds and is the home unit for Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Oral Maxillofacial, Neurosurgical and Neurology services.Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary approach that includes surgeons, speech and swallowing therapists, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, discharge planners, dieticians and nurses.The nurse in this role provides excellent supportive direct care to meet the physical, nutritional, emotional, psychosocial and educational needs of the patients and their families. On this unit there is an emphasis on patient and family teaching to ensure a level of comfort and confidence for self care when they are discharged to home. Nursing Specific InfoSalary & Nursing Framework Level:This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.       • Experience and comfort with tracheostomies and suctioning Work ScheduleHours: 24 hours per week, Nights, 12 hour shiftsLocation: University Hospital - 4B Adult Surgical Telemetry UnitAll new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.Work LocationsThis is a multi-unit RN position, which involves staffing assignments on multiple units, per the agreement with UMPNC, Section H, page 55, Multi-Unit Positions.Units for this position include 4B Adult Surgical Telemetry Unit and 4A Neurology Unit. The home unit will be4B Adult Surgical Telemetry Unit; holidays and PTO will be determined from the home unit, 4B.
