Salary range for Registered Nurses
Hourly range for Registered Nurses (0-11 months experience)
$33.58/hr
Hourly range for Registered Nurses (12+ months experience)
$33.64-$52.08/hr
Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 per hour
Night Shift Differential- $3.40 per hour
Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour

Responsibilities*
Provide safe, effective, and specialized nursing care in an
ambulatory care cardiology and cardiology subspeciality clinic
setting.
Clinical duties include: Use clinical knowledge and reasoning, and
critical thinking to assess and evaluate needs of cardiology
patients. Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice
providers, and services to provide high quality effective patient
care. Direct outpatient clinical support through telephone triage
supporting a seamless delivery of care. Participate in the
coordination of care, including testing, medication management,
collaborative planning of care, support of self-management by
patients/families, management of emergency situations, etc.
Document care and patient progress through detailed patient
records. Collaborates with professional colleagues outside of UMHS,
nationally and internationally.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at
time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be
interviewed and considered for the position.
Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

their resume dates of past employment including months and years of
service along with effort.
Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Required Qualifications*
Current license to practice nursing in Michigan.
One (1) year of recent (within the last five (5) years) ambulatory
care experience. This ambulatory care experience must include
telephone triage.
Minimum of three (3) years of recent (within the last five (5)
years) experience in adult cardiology.
Desired Qualifications*
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Two (2) years of recent (within the last five (5) years) ambulatory
care experience. This ambulatory care experience must include
telephone triage.
Greater than five (5) years adult cardiology experience.
Clinical leadership experience such as charge nurse, preceptor
experience, or clinic instructor.
Participation in unit committees or quality projects that
demonstrate the ability to work collaborative with and positively
contribute to a team approach to patient care.
Previous experience using clinical protocols to make decisions for
adult patients.
Experience with MiChart, EPIC, Aspect, Word and Excel.
Previous participation in research and/or professional nursing
organization memberships.
Knowledge of the University of Michigan Hospital Nursing policies
and practice. ACLS certification BLS certification
Work Schedule
Hours: 40 hrs/wk Shift: Variable days and hours Location:
Cardiovascular Service Line Program locations including but not
limited to the following: Brighton, Northville, Domino Farms,
Cardiovascular Center, Ypsilanti and any future Cardiovascular
site. Sites could change in future as service is expanded to
different locations.
Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement
between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M
Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all
matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and
conditions of employment.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment
