JOB SUMMARY : Under direction, provides assessments, linkage and
referrals to consumers seeking Macomb County Community Mental
Health services, maintains direct and indirect clinical and
administrative records, coordinates, consults, and provides liaison
work with other agencies and systems, ensures that service
authorizations are current, implements program goals and activities
in keeping with program philosophy, contributes expertise from
professional discipline to team planning and treatment processes;
performs related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs direct clinical services, including, but not limited to,
intakes, treatment plans, services reviews, crisis/safety plans,
and individual contacts.
Provides hands on family training, if needed, to all assigned
consumers in the wraparound program.
Consults with school personnel, juvenile court, CPS, Foster Care
workers, as well as community based connections in order to provide
the optimal level of support and integration.
Functions as a member of the wraparound treatment team, and meets
weekly and more if necessary with the family and other team members
in order to assist in facilitating the family wraparound plan and
Performs indirect clinical services, including, but not limited to,
timely and complete case documentation following Macomb County
Community Mental Health policies and procedures; participates in
case consultation to confirm diagnosis and to make the most
suitable least restrictive clinical recommendations.
Participates in agency and system staff meetings. Participates in

QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience):
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Doctorate
in Psychology or a directly related mental health field from an
accredited college or university.
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Limited Licensed Master of
Social Work (LLMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited
License Professional Counselor (LLPC), Temporary Limited Licensed
Psychologist (TLLP), or Licensed Psychologist (LP).
Possession of required state licensure appropriate to position and
ability to meet privileging and credentialing guidelines.
Two (2) years clinical experience working with children with mental
illness and their families.
One (1) year or more years of wraparound experience.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of resources within MCCMH and outside of Macomb
County Community Mental Health.
Considerable knowledge of the Michigan Mental Health Code/401
Knowledge of mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and
Knowledge of techniques to de-escalate/interact in potentially
Ability to effectively speak and understand the English
Ability to speak and understand a language other than English, is
Effective written and verbal communication.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with elected officials,
Administrators, Department Heads, staff, union officials and the
Ability to conduct oneself with tact and courtesy.
Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and operable
insured automobile for authorized travel.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and
other office equipment as needed, to perform duties. The noise
level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with
frequent contact with customers.
Bends, stoops and reaches in order to file, search for and retrieve
records and documents.
Manual dexterity and regular fine-finger and hand/wrist motions are
required for operating a keyboard, writing and filing.
Seeing (vision), sitting, talking/speaking, or listening/hearing
are regularly required.
Operates an automobile while performing assigned job duties.
