advancement Responsibilities* This position will provide direct
patient care to a variety of surgical patients in a fast-paced
ambulatory environment. The position requires the ability to work
effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member. The
responsibilities include maintenance of patient's airway,
monitoring vital signs, monitoring EKG, and management of PONV and
pain. Care is inclusive of the entire perioperative experience
(pre-operative and post-op care, including discharge, and phone
contact). Provide patient/family education. Candidate must be
highly motivated to provide excellent care and patient advocacy.
The person selected will actively participate as a member of a
collaborative health team that maintains orderly, efficient, and
timely flow of patients through the perioperative experience.
Flexibility in hours is necessary as there will be some overtime
required. Expectations of the position: Must be proficient with IV
starts Must be proficient in Michart (optime) Demonstrated ability
to care for patients following ASPAN staffing guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a
multidisciplinary team with the goal of service excellence and
Family Centered care. Ability to present a positive image of the
facility. Demonstrated ability to direct nursing practice and apply
nursing judgement to a variety of situations. Excellent attendance
and time management skills. Self-motivated individual with

Framework LEVEL C.Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be
determined at time of hire.Nursing Framework levels range from

Qualifications* Current licensure to practice nursing in the state
of Michigan.Minimum of two (2) years of Surgical PACU (Phase 1 and
Phase 2) within the last 1 year.Pre-op Experience within the last 1
year.Current adult experience.Current ACLS/PALS Certification.
Experience with critical airway management. In order to be
