Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIH
Must-Have: 1. Ability to float to other ICU and Med Surg units as
needed. 2. Available for every other weekend. 3. Experience with
life-threatening emergencies and critical care procedures.
Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU. The
position involves caring for critically ill patients with varying
acuity levels. Patient ratios typically range from 1:1 for
high-acuity patients to 3:1 for stable patients. Nurses may also
have assignments in other medical-surgical areas based on census
needs. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, drug overdose, DKA,
AKI, and respiratory failure. The nurse will manage various
critical care equipment and procedures, including CRRT, A-Line,
CVC, and trach placements. Required skills include cardiac
monitoring, emergency response, and IV therapy management. This
role involves administration of emergency medications and sedation,
managing ventilated patients, and interpreting lab results. Nurses
will experience a range of critical care situations, including
managing patients on mechanical ventilation. Holidays are usually
required, and there is no guarantee that time-off requests will be
accepted. Candidates should provide proof of flu vaccination upon
