Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Wednesday and Thursday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 3 years of experience as an RN License: Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: CRNFA certification, BLS Must-Have: - CRNFA (Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification - Completion of an RNFA program from an accredited school of nursing Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. RNFA who works with providers during surgery, suturing the patient, and assisting with procedures. Schedule mainly consists of Wednesdays, with some Thursdays required. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Preferred education is a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
