Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with 2 years of acute care MRI experience and required ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification. Responsibilities - Position is in an acute care hospital MRI unit covering adult inpatients, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma cases - Work schedule includes one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts per week, for a total of 36 hours - Night shift hours are typically 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend rotation - Workload consists of a 1:2 technologist to patient ratio - Flex scheduling with potential for weekday changes announced up to one month in advance - No call or floating required - EMR system is Epic and experience with Epic is required - Duties include conducting MRI scans for varied adult patient populations in acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma environments - Scheduling will be reviewed monthly and changes communicated to staff prior to implementation - Modules and required training will be completed onsite during orientation - Returning staff are eligible if at least one year has passed since previous employment at any related facility - No travel pairs accepted for this contract - Local candidates are eligible at the same rate - No RTO is permitted during the first week of the contract - Flu shot deadlines and compliance will be communicated seasonally Requirements - Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience in adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings - Current ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification and BLS are required - Must have a Michigan license in-hand at the time of consideration (license required if applicable) - Epic EMR experience required - Flu vaccination required with no exemptions permitted - Two manager or supervisor professional references from the past two years are required - First-time travelers are not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-641462.
