A healthcare opportunity is available for an Interventional Radiologic Technologist specializing in performing invasive diagnostic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist. This contract position is based in Warren, MI, and offers the chance to apply your expertise in imaging to support patient care through complex and precise interventions. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare patients by explaining procedures and obtaining relevant medical history. - Set up, calibrate, and operate imaging equipment, physiological monitors, and sterile supplies needed for invasive radiologic procedures. - Administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions as required. - Assist the Radiologist during diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout. - Maintain adequate supply inventory and replenish as necessary. - Perform quality assurance checks, maintain accurate documentation in medical records and radiology information systems. - Adhere consistently to radiation protection principles to minimize exposure using ALARA techniques. - Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery through PACS and RIS systems. - Participate in training new personnel or students as directed. - Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork with strong communication and positive attitude. Desired Qualifications: - Certification and experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR Tech). - Proficiency in preparing and administering contrast media and IV solutions. - Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols. - Ability to operate imaging equipment and related software systems (PACS, RIS). - Strong patient care skills with attention to detail and safety.
