Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for an experienced surgical assistant to support the operating room team in delivering exceptional patient care during surgical procedures. The role involves preparing the surgical suite, ensuring instruments and supplies are ready and functioning, and providing direct assistance to surgeons throughout operations. Utilizing advanced surgical techniques, the assistant helps achieve optimal outcomes by aiding with exposure, hemostasis, suturing, and other intraoperative functions. Responsibilities: Prepare and organize surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment to ensure seamless procedures. Collaborate closely with the surgical technologist and registered nurse to verify readiness and proper charging of items. Assist the surgeon with patient positioning, draping, retracting, suctioning, sponging, tissue handling, cautery techniques, and stapling devices. Support patient transportation, positioning, and total care during surgical procedures. Apply appropriate dressing materials following surgery, promoting safe postoperative outcomes. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and operative techniques pertinent to the case. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Proven experience in an operating room setting assisting with surgical procedures. Strong understanding of anatomical structures and surgical methods. Ability to work cohesively within the surgical team, maintaining clear communication. Attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety and sterile technique.
