We offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to a top-tier healthcare facility in Toledo, Ohio, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference. This temporary position provides a chance to work in a dynamic environment, supporting critical surgical teams and advancing your professional skills. In this role, you will deliver quality patient care across inpatient post-op floors and ICU settings, working closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes. You will have autonomy in your practice, coordinating comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients, including pre-op physical exams, postoperative management, suturing, diagnosis, treatment, and test interpretation. The position involves a flexible schedule, typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a commitment of 10 workdays per month, including two weekends, and a call ratio of 1:3. Required Skills: Valid Physician Assistant license and certifications Proven experience in surgical or ICU settings, preferably cardiothoracic Proficiency in EPIC EMR system Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to interpret tests and write prescriptions accurately Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in Level 1 trauma centers Advanced procedural skills or certifications Experience in post-op patient management Preferred Education and Experience: NCCPA certification Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in surgical or critical care settings Prior locum or temporary assignment experience considered a plus Other Requirements: Credentialing completion within 60-90 days; expedited processing available Ability to travel and stay in accommodations provided; costs covered for hotel, flights, and rental cars Availability for shifts starting January 2, 2026, through April, with flexibility for extension This is an exceptional opportunity to enhance your career while providing vital surgical support.
