Coverage Needed

• Start Date: 7/26/26
• Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Call Schedule: call coverage for emergency cases; trauma call coverage
• Open Dates:
  • 7/26-8/2/26
  • 8/17-8/23
  • 9/7-9/13
  • 9/21-9/27

Clinical Details

• Onsite
• EMR System: Epic
• Cover inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, performing procedures including biopsies, outpatient scheduled procedures and inpatient emergencies; supervising APPs during daytime hours
• 60% outpatient, 40% inpatient
• Trauma coverage
• Emergency Call coverage
• Support Staff: Supervising physicians; 3 full-time APPs who perform procedures and inpatient consults (locum will supervise)
• Required Procedures: General invasive interventional radiology procedures
  • 9-10 procedures per day including biopsies, kyphoplasty, port placements, paracentesis/thoracentesis

Requirements

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
  • Subspecialty Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, CAQ in Vascular and Interventional Radiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, or the equivalent board in another country which is recognized by the American Board of Radiology
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS through the American Heart Association
• 5 cases proctored
• Licenses: Active MI license or IMLC LOQ
• DEA
• No large malpractice issues
• Clean NPDB
• Case Logs: 50 cases within the past 12 months
  • For new graduates, the fellowship training log(s) should be provided to document experience within the last 12 months. All other applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have performed and/or interpreted at least 50 vascular and interventional radiology procedures, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, in the past 12 months. (American Heart Association) AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification are encouraged
• All residencies and fellowships must be ACGME approved
