About the role We Predict use predictive analytics to help companies forecast the future. Our key strategic project Deepview, examines data on repair frequency to predict how automotive components compare across competitors. We are currently hiring for an experienced full-stack software engineer to take on the role of project lead for an OEM client. The ideal person for this job is a multitalented full-stack developer who has an excellent track record of running client projects. This person is a great communicator and relationship builder. What does it involve ? Taking the lead role on the project and client briefings. You'll need to be comfortable with the authority to make project-based decisions to help the team accomplish your objectives. ? Building front end web applications, back end databases and carrying out data processing tasks. ? Undertaking regular interaction with clients and partners, gathering technical requirements and providing feedback and support. ? Mentorship and management of the project team. You will lead and coordinate the activities of a small and focused project development team by identifying, prioritizing and executing tasks in the software development life cycle. ? Supporting and mentoring less experienced developers, while being supported by other experienced developers and domain experts working on related projects. ? Leading by example with good development processes and practices. Document development phases and monitor systems. ? Collaboration with internal teams and client teams to fix and improve products. ? Longer-term project vision to develop tools and applications to improve the current systems and the automation of tasks. ? You may occasionally travel within the US to meet with clients. What we're looking for IT and Technical Skills ? A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related field. ? 3+ years of software engineering or software development experience. ? Excellent coding skills and hands-on programming experience using relevant languages. Transferable software development skills. ? Extensive experience developing with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, Web Applications ? SQL database schema design, relationships and integrity, and query optimization when working with large data sets. ? Experience with exploring and understanding new datasets, and incorporating them into new and existing databases and applications. ? Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, .NET Core Competencies ? Independent, responsible, accountable, decision maker. ? Excellent organizational and leadership skills. ? A calm/considered approach to decision making. ? Comfortable with and capable of meaningful customer interactions. ? Experience working with clients and business partners. Understand company strategies/priorities and plan project workload/technical solutions accordingly. ? The ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time. ? Collaborative and willing to share expertise by helping to advise and support project team members. ? Problem solver, shows initiative, eager to learn, self-learner/researcher. ? Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills ? Comfortable working in an autonomous environment with little supervision. ? Automotive industry experience is a plus.
