Our client, a catapulting leading pet supplies retailer, is
currently seeking a Director Neighbor Insights/Marketing
Technology.
Background from retail or fast-moving CPG is the right fit.
Position hybrid 3 days/week in the office so SE Michigan location
is a must - company will offer full relocation.

Director, Neighbor Insights and Marketing Technology, reporting to
the Chief Marketing Officer, will lead a technical/analytical team
responsible for Marketing, CRM and Predictive Modeling/Analysis
application technologies (strategy, implementation and management),
including software developers, data scientists, business
intelligence engineers, and project managers in a retail
environment.Provide leadership and be known as a critical leader in
a team-based structure, centered on optimization of platforms
across the enterprise, including the acquisition and harmonization
of products to achieve overall business objectives to deliver and
support business value drivers.
Solidify, architect, implement and support PSP Enterprise
Marketing, Loyalty, Digital Marketing, and CRM Technologies.
Develop new marketing systems and analytic programs that drives
sales and customer perception through improved promotions,
selection, and targeted marketing across all channels, and improve
content search relevance. Manage various technology initiatives in
the Marketing Department.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
--- Manage multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure
successful completion of analytic projects. --- Serve as a
strategic partner to the business and technology teams across omni
customer, marketing, digital, eCommerce and stores to drive
marketing innovation --- Architect, implement and support
Enterprise Marketing applications: Loyalty, personalization, Master
Data Management, Loyalty platforms (CrowdTwist) and Predictive
modeling --- Drive conversations with enterprise architects,
business, and technology stakeholders --- Work with businesses,
assessing opportunities and risks, to help realize tactical and
strategic objectives --- Identify and proactively manages risk
areas and commits to see an issue through to complete resolution
--- Follow trends in technology and new solutions that should be
further explored --- Represent the enterprise towards Marketing
technology vendors --- Build and Foster high performing agile teams
including working with outsourced vendors --- Accountable for
support of applications in the Marketing portfolio --- Create
compelling PowerPoint presentations, which tell the analytic story,
demonstrating their value by providing actionable insights with
recommendations. --- Accountable for the overall management of
marketing analytic projects, including profitability, timeliness,
quality, and value --- Able to design customer-specific strategic
marketing approaches that will quantitatively demonstrate value
through the development and implementation of fresh and innovative
marketing approaches that deliver business results --- Evangelize
the value of analytics services internally across all departments
--- Delivers executive-level business case presentations that
successfully generate new customer acquisition from the analysis
performed --- Provides accurate work estimates and oversees
delivery against budget --- Ensures organization design and team
are in place to deliver against plans --- Ensures strong
operational processes are in place to deliver across all areas of
responsibility --- Actively mentors team members focused on
modeling, reporting, and campaign management based on personal
experiences and skills in these areas of focus --- Creates an
environment where data and analytics professionals can develop
their skills and grow their careers through taking on increased
responsibility and adding value to the organizationPosition
Requirements: --- Minimum 10 years' experience in delivering
analytic results working within database marketing, CRM and
analytics ideally in the marketing or marketing research field;
minimum 5 years' experience in a management or leadership capacity
--- Minimum BA / BS; Master's degree a strong plus in a relevant
field including Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics,
Statistics, or equivalent experience --- Strong executive-level
client facing skills and the ability to communicate complex
analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive
audience --- Experience with strategic planning using quantitative
techniques --- Experience ramping up analytics programs, including
integrating with work of other teams to ensure analytics approach
is aligned with marketing/sales strategy and available data ---
Expertise selecting context-appropriate modeling, analysis, and
reporting techniques, with hands-on skills with common marketing
analytics techniques including: factor analysis,
regression/logistic regression, CHAID/decision trees, K-means
(clustering), univariate analysis (t-test), cross-tabs, time series
analysis and others --- Expertise with campaign management and
supporting technologies --- Ability and willingness to take a
hands-on execution role where required to support client needs and
team development --- Highly organized with an ability to work under
tight deadlines and shifting priorities --- Ability to communicate
analytical and technical concepts with confidence and in an
easy-to-understand fashion --- Excellent oral and written
communication skills --- Management and team mentoring --- Deep
knowledge and experience applying analytical tools --- Highly
professional and presentable with a strong business acumen ---
Experience in working in an Agile Work Environment and leading
agile teams --- Possess a strong understanding of key products and
their ability to transform the business --- Have recent experience
driving transformation application implementations at scale while
also responsible for supporting those technologies --- Be highly
motivated --- Have deep subject matter expertise across technology,
partnerships, product road mapping and program management
experience
--- Manage, maintain, optimize, and enhance the Neighbor Relations
Marketing (NRM) eco system, especially the data, as it relates to
Marketing --- Coordinate efforts to facilitate data ingestion from
outside vendors, internal data sources and procured data into NRM
--- Coordinate with the Marketing and IT teams to ensure marketing
systems meet the needs of the company --- Work with and manage
programmers, data scientists, analysts, and report writers to
provide for ongoing marketing system needs --- Facilitate/manage
analysis/reporting of Marketing data for the Marketing department
and overall business --- Development of Marketing ETL workflows via
SQL procedures, creation of tables and SSIS workflows. --- Drive
the analysis, design, and development of databases and PowerBI
objects --- Create and implement ongoing systems to integrate the
customer's experience --- Monitor marketing systems and identify
enhancements that will benefit our customers and the company ---
Manage relationships with third party vendors
