DescriptionThe position of Regional Technical Product Manager
involves collaboration with regional and global R&D teams on
projects related to product management, OEM specifications, and
application development. The role requires interaction with
scientists at Envalior's manufacturing and R&D facilities in
Germany, Netherlands, India, and China.Main Responsibilities
- Serve as the interface between 'customers/market' and R&D
for the region.
- Act as the complaint processor for performance complaints
within the region.
- Support ADTS, CAE, BDM, and Sales with material technical
expertise, involving R&D scientists and PD when necessary, for
complex technical inquiries from customers.
- Act as the interface between 'manufacturing' and R&D in the
region.
- Lead technical aspects of product maintenance projects (PMR)
related to raw material qualification.
- Ensure the APQP process for new or modified compounds,
especially concerning manufacturing process changes.
- Coordinate with manufacturing on capability analysis and
improvement actions for regional production sites.
- Prepare for the scale-up and introduction of new or modified
raw materials to manufacturing.
- Decide on the release of non-conforming batches and advise when
batches cannot be released.
- Work with manufacturing to identify root causes of
non-conforming batches.PurposeThis role involves working closely
with regional and global R&D teams on product management, OEM
specifications, and application development, interacting with
scientists across Envalior's facilities in Germany, Netherlands,
India, and China.Impact of PositionThe Regional Technical Product
Manager plays a crucial role in communicating highly technical
information across various groups, which is vital for positioning
Envalior's products favorably in the market and maintaining or
gaining new business.Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Material Science or Polymer Chemistry;
others with relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in plastics.
- Technical, project management, stakeholder management,
interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
