Business Development Director – Battery & Energy Storage
PIDC is looking for a highly motivated, Business Development
Director for Battery and Energy Storage material market. The person
hired for this position will be responsible for developing PIDC’s
global business strategy for this market and selling PIDC’s
products to these markets working for the Vice President of Sales &
Marketing. The Business Development Director needs to be proficient
managing large and complex accounts, and effective in business
development to expand product lines.
Development and execution of new business strategy for the
Battery Materials and Energy Storage Materials Market
Initiate and manage Joint Research Development Programs with
auto OEMs and US Government Agencies
Achieve Sales goals in line with PIDC corporate growth
Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective
customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous
improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales
within the market.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current
and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives
Excel at identifying and closing on new applications and
opportunities with new customers
Some travel required
>5 years professional Business Development / Technical Sales
experience in Battery Materials market, experience with battery
separators a plus
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Material Science and
Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience in this
field, PhD in these disciplines a plus
Master's in Business Administration a plus
Experience in R&D and/or product management a plus
Knowledge of Alumina and Zeolite a plus
Strong verbal and written communications skills, drive, energy
level, and problem-solving abilities are critical.
