By joining the high-performing KLA team in Ann Arbor, you'll enjoy an incredible career with supportive colleagues in a spectacular place to live.Essential Functions:* Apply your understanding of system, subsystem, and interface requirements to new developments* Perform feasibility studies and proof of concepts* Conduct analysis, such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, DC/DC power design, electrical loads* Participate in a development team to design electronics subsystems and printed circuit boards* Integrate electronics subsystems and perform system-level testing* Support product line sustaining engineering, addressing obsolete or end-of-life parts, board or sub-systems, and developing new features to improve existing products* Collaborate with manufacturing and service teams to support a smooth product transition into manufacturing* Work closely with suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified and achieved and address and resolve product issues throughout the product phases* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Optical, Mechanical, Software and Systems Engineering, supply chain organizations, etc.Qualifications:The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and a collaborative teammate, with a solid technical background, possessing the following skills:* Solid understanding and experience in electrical circuit design (analog/RF design, high-speed digital design, FPGA design, signal/power integrity, etc.)* Comfortable with lab environments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.* Knowledge of Spice and EM (electromagnetic) simulation and lab correlation* Experience with schematic capture and board layout tools including OrCAD & Cadence Allegro* Experience with data analysis through MATLAB and/or Python is a plus* Ability to work in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organization* Good verbal and written communication skills* Ph D. or 3+ years relevant industry experience designing board-level RF/analog and digital circuits
