Coordinates daily with owners and contractors on a construction project. Review daily construction field reports. Interprets construction drawings and specifications on construction projects Determines if encountered field conditions require a change to the construction contract. Performs a wide variety of materials testing, including concrete, aggregates, and density testing both in the field and lab settings. Tracks and records as-built information for incorporation into project record drawings.Your ResponsibilitiesPerform daily field inspections of construction work and prepare daily work reportsInterpret construction drawings and specifications on construction projectsDetermine if encountered field conditions require a change to the construction contractExperience in implementing RFI's submittals and shop drawings into real-world construction projectsPerform a wide variety of materials testing, including concrete, aggregates, and density testing both in the field and lab settingsTrack and record as-built information for incorporation into project record drawingsCommunicate with the project team throughout the process.Demonstrate strong project organization skillsYour TeamAs a trusted member of OHM Advisors' Field Services Group, you will join a growing, mission-driven team of innovative thinkers who collaborate daily, using our combined gifts and talents to continually advance the communities we serve.What You'll Need to SucceedHigh-school diploma or equivalent required with an Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in drafting, construction lab, engineering technology, surveying, or drafting preferred.A Construction Technology or Construction Management Degree a plus.0-5 years of experience with local agency programs and MDOT inspection experience.ODOT experience and NICET Certifications is a plus.Experience in implementing RFI's, submittals, and shop drawings into real-world construction projects.Strong written and verbal communication skills are a mustExperience in Field Manager/Field Book and ProjectWise is a plus.Computer literacy - knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)Capable of working as a team member with other disciplinesA Construction Technology or Construction Management Degree a plus.Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) is a plus.Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) is a plus.Growth at OHM AdvisorsAdvancement isn't just for our clients.
