Who were looking for

Toyotas Model Base Development (MBD) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Engineer in the field of electromagnetics simulation.

The primary responsibility of this role is to research latest technology trends and develop tools for motor design and predicting EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) of automotive systems.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the MBD department's objective to provide innovative electrified powertrain systems.

What youll be doing

  • Support research and development of cutting edge analysis for electrified vehicles
  • Analyze electric motor performances (power, efficiency, vibration) to support design and localization
  • Develop analysis methodologies for predicting EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) of electrical systems such as wire harnesses, motors, inverters, batteries, and battery charging systems
  • Plan and coordinate tests for validating simulation
Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor of Sciencedegree (or higher) in Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering
  • Experience in EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) simulation with tools such as CST Studio, ANSYS HFSS, or FEKO
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts through reports and presenting to stakeholders/leadership
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel used for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations

Added bonus if you have:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Understanding of rotary dynamics and frequency domain data processing
  • Experience in using CAD packagefor preprocessing simulation models
  • Testing experience for EMC/EMI
  • Knowledge of acoustic simulation
