Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do, but also in HOW we do it.KLA is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager in our Central Engineering Group in Ann Arbor, to lead a group of electrical design engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, designing, detailing, and testing new concepts, designs, and technologies for the next generation of KLA tools.Responsibilitiesfor this exciting role will include:Managing resource allocations, schedules, and project budgetsCreate training plans for the development of team membersLead design of components and sub-systems for various electronic subsystems of KLA toolsWork with suppliers worldwide to develop complex and cost-effective, reliable solutions for next-generation electronic sub-systemsUnderstand and drive system, sub-system, and interface requirementsPropose and lead feasibility studies and proof of conceptsLead analysis, such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, DC/DC power design, electrical loadsGuide engineering team in high-speed analog and digital circuit designsLead electronics subsystem integration and system-level testingGuide the development of new features to continuously improve existing productsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, supply chain organizations, etc. and lead system-level discussions including impact on overall system performanceQualificationsThe successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, in addition to the following:Experience designing board-level RF/analog and digital circuitsExpertise in electrical circuit design (analog/RF design, highspeed digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.)Expert with instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.Experience of Spice and EM (electromagnetic) simulation and lab correlationExperience with schematic capture and board layout tools including Orcad & Cadence AllegroTrack record of data analysis through scientific software packagesAbility to work with cross-functional groups and lead system-level discussions including impact on overall system performanceLead troubleshooting activities at subsystem and system levelsMust be able to travel for training, project support, and support of customers globallyMust be able to travel for training, project support, and support of customers globallyMinimumQualificationsDoctorate (Academic) with at least 3 years of experience, or Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years, or Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experienceWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
