The Akaaboune Laboratory in LSA Molecular, Cellular and
Developmental Biology is seeking temporary research lab assistants
(2). We are interested in understanding how connections between the
motor neuron and muscle cells are maintained and regulated under
normal and pathological conditions. This research program will
involve animal mouse, culture cell, and a combination of cellular,
molecular and biochemical techniques. The successful candidates
will work closely with principal investigator and other lab
members. The research technician can expect excellent training and
mentorship towards a scientific/medical career.

Performing experiments (85% time) and other Lab tasks such as
preparing media for cell culture, making solutions, autoclaving
glassware, etc. (15% time)
Graduation from a college or university or equivalent
combination of education (B.A or B.S) and experience. Must be
interested in biology, dedicated and hard-working.

Pay Range - $12 - 15 per hour
