Nexus is a division in the College of Engineering that delivers
interdisciplinary graduate programs with courses comprised of
on-campus and online students. Nexus Media Assistants (MA) operate
digital video equipment to record, edit, and support classroom
lectures, studio recordings, and live remote courses and programs.
Responsibilities for the role includes remote camera operation,
audio monitoring, and technical support for instructors.
Familiarity with the Canvas Learning management system, Zoom,
Microsoft Teams, and other technology tools is preferred.
Duties will be performed on location, with some functions that
may be performed remotely. Hours for the position will be
approximately 20 hours per week, occasionally up to 30 hours, with
a high degree of variability, and candidates should be available
daily between 10-3pm for peak recording functions. This is a great
opportunity to learn about digital education and work closely with
the Nexus Design Team and faculty in technology enabled
