Description:Wire harness/Cable Assembler will be responsible for the assembly, troubleshoot, and testing of electronic components.1st shift 8am-5pm but may adjust to an earlier shift once training is complete (earlier shift 6am-3pm or 7am-4pm)Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 50% of the time assembling electronic components based on schematics which includes:- Reading schematics and wire lists to identify cables - Solider and crimp various wires when assembling circuit board- Assembly of wire harness and cables 50% of the time testing/trouble shoot to ensure that the unit is assembled properly: - Ability to operate test equipment (meters/ scopes).- Ability to follow test procedures.- Ability to use application software on a Windows PC. - Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word- Good communication skills, verbal and writtenThey will be working with small components, wire harnesses, soldering surface mount components, and interpreting mechanical and wire diagrams.In the interview you will have to show that you can strip and crimp wires! Skills:Electronics, Schematics, Testing, Troubleshoot, Soldering, Surface Mounts, Software, MicrosoftTop Skills Details:Electronics, Schematics, Testing, Troubleshoot, Soldering, Surface Mounts, Software, MicrosoftAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVE:- 2+ years of experience testing/troubleshooting electrical components which includes testings of: circuit boards, surface mounts, or any electronic components- Experience with surface mount soldering- Experience with electronics troubleshooting- Experience performing circuit board assembly and/or surface-mount soldering - Experience performing cable and mechanical assembly and checkout- Computer skills - Microsoft Excel PREFERRED:- Associates degree in: Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or any technical associates degree - IPC 610 or IPC 620 certification - Experience repairing circuit boards- Software skills - data analysis software experienceExperience Level:Entry Level About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
