Job Description:
Summary The incumbent serves as a Red Coat Transport Ambassador
Guest Relations for Office of Veteran Experience with primary
duties and responsibilities supporting the Office of Veteran
Experience and/or Service Chief. The position is in Office of
Veteran Experience section under the Office of the Director. The
incumbent is physically located at or near a main entrance of the
campus and/or supporting the Information Desk. Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to; Provides basic transport of
patients to and from departments Utilizes sound judgment and
critical thinking skills to prioritize actions and meet
urgent/emergent patient needs in an unpredictable, rapidly changing
environment of care Recognizes individual and age-specific needs of
patients and delivers care accordingly Utilizes verbal or written
"hand off' interactive communication that allows the opportunity
for questioning between giver and receiver of patient information
Consistently complies with Cyber and Informational Security
Policies and Procedures at all times Access patient information
only when required for the performance of duties Consistently
complies with HIPPA Privacy Rules Recognizes special needs of the
older patient Provides care of and/or assists in patient care
including, ambulating, and positioning for safety and proper body
mechanics Anticipates needs and actions required and in response to
emergent medical situations Recognizes that establishing and
maintaining a therapeutic relationship with patients will promote
trust Consistently transfers, and transports patients (traveling by
golf cart, wheelchair) fo appointments or tests in a safe and
efficient manner Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 1 vacancy in each

position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date
of this announcement, 01/27/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS
grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade
requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS 4
position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS 3. The grade may
have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal
service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be
submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50
has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly
demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the
announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional
SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade Note:

appointment. You may qualify based on your experience and/or
education is described below: Specialized Experience: You must have
one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next
lower grade GS 3 in the normal line of progression for the
occupation in the organization. Qualifying general experience is
documented experience progressively of basic or commonly used
rules, procedures, or operations that typically requires some
previous training or experience and indicates ability to acquire
the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of
the position to be filled. (This experience must be supported by
your resume to be creditable.). OR, Education: Applicants may
substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based

to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of
specialized experience and education beyond GS-3 education

helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can
provide valuable training and experience that translates directly
to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying
experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of
work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time
experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in

such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties
and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a
week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work will
vary. There will be some walking and standing, possible bending,
carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, driving
a golf cart, pushing wheelchairs. Work Environment: The work
environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require
normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices and
meeting and training rooms. The work area is adequately lighted,
