Data Engineer will participate in the planning, design,
development, implementation, and support of the Enterprise Data
Warehouse, integrations between enterprise platforms, data
ingestion and replication processes, and other advanced data
capabilities to support our strategic digital transformation
initiatives. - The Senior Data Engineer collaborates with business
areas in the development of data components and applications that
align with the Ansys data strategy and data portfolio.The role
requires execution of tactical day-to-day initiatives as well as
contributing to the fulfillment of the long-term data strategy.In
addition to the development functions, the successful candidate
will be able to demonstrate basic application DBA expertise in
Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake database platforms.
-RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain components and applications
that align with the ANSYS data strategy and drive implementation of
enterprise data architecture and data integration standards
- Develop specifications and requirements for data to improve the
performance, usability and effectiveness of system interfaces
- Partner with business and technology teams to coordinate
implementation of the data strategy and data architecture and
maximize the value of information across the organization
- Collaborates with other IT functions to design and implement
solutions for complex problems and understands end-to-end business
processes
- Documents processes and procedures that contribute to ANSYS
data best practices and standards
- Collaborates in designing and developing integration solutions
and data migration strategies -MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology,
Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- A minimum of 7 years related experience
- Demonstrated ability working in collaborative team environment
with other DBAs, developers, data modelers and architects, setting
priorities, and achieving results
- Experience working in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid data
environments
- Experience using Agile development
- Experienced in data warehouse, information marts, business
intelligence, and master data management design patterns and
implementation techniques
- Experience with Data Vault 2.0 methodologies, architecture,
patterns, standards and best practices
- Experience using scripting tools and frameworks to automate the
build and data transformation routines required to construct and
load a data warehouse
- Experience in Oracle, MS SQL Server and Snowflake database
technologies
- Experienced in Snowflake architecture, data lakes management,
and metadata
- Experience in use of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL
- Knowledge of various programming languages and development
tools, including (but not limited to) Oracle and Microsoft
development tools, Java, .Net,
- Works independently with minimal supervision -PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SQL language dialects for Oracle, SQL Server,
and Snowflake
- Experience with SOA based data integration. Oracle SOA or
SnapLogic preferred
- Knowledge of various programming languages and development
tools, including (but not limited to) Oracle and Microsoft
development tools, Java, .Net,
- Demonstrated ability working in collaborative team environment
with other DBAs, developers, data modelers and architects, setting
priorities, and achieving results
- Superior interpersonal skills, including excellent written and
oral communication skills
- Business acumen and the ability to communicate to business
stakeholders and technical staff
- Strong time management and decision-making skills, drive for
results
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic,
