Hydrogen Product Design LeadOverview:NX Fuels Inc is a venture-backed climate tech start-up established in late 2019 as a Delaware C Corporation to commercialize our proprietary artificial photosynthesis materials and systems developed at the University of Michigan for low-cost production of green H2 from water (or seawater). We can also produce green fuels from CO2 and water using only renewable solar. Our vision is to accelerate the transition to a Net-Zero economy by actively decarbonizing the incumbent processes using our solar fuel systems while supplying green products including green H2, methanol, syngas, methane, etc.
We are looking for a motivated, full-time Hydrogen Product Design Lead, who is dedicated to developing and commercializing our transformational green H2 systems, to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and validating components/systems and will be expected to function independently at task-level initiation and planning, testing, delivery, and project closeout activities. You will be expected to communicate progress against project milestones, prioritize product and customer requirements/risks, provide continuing direction to the project technicians, and prepare progress reports and review meetings.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
Qualifications: - - - - - - -BS, MS or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline - - - - - - -5 years hands-on experience in prototyping, product development, or scale operation development in related industry
Preferred Skills and Experience: - - - - - - -Reactor (chemical) and system design/validation, and transport phenomena experience - - - - - - -CAD, modeling, and commercial FEA simulation experience (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Aspen Plus, etc.) - - - - - - -H2 (utilization, production, etc.) -and/or chemical operations (gas generation, gas processes, pressure vessels, etc.) experience - - - - - - -Experience in engineering quality control, design of experiments, FMEA, etc. is a plus - - - - - - -Experience in electrolyzers, fuel cells, and/or reformers is a plus
