In 2017, Bank of Ann Arbor personnel volunteered more than 3,000 hours to nearly 200 nonprofit organizations.Who You AreThe Quality Control Specialist reports to the SVP, Director Operations and is for all first-level review of new accounts and account changes which involves reviewing documentation in the core system to ensure all customer accounts are in line with policy and Bank procedures. Continued maintenance to accounts and customer records is expected, as well as exceptions to standard procedures. Perform a daily review of account production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. This position handles both routine assignments and provides service and support to other team members throughout the BOAA network. Communicating effectively with other team members to solve daily processing problems and completing daily assignments within deadlines is an expectation of the position. Basic knowledge of banking is preferred to support other positions within Deposit Services. Working knowledge of federal regulations for deposit products is desiredYour RoleAdheres to bank policies and procedures regarding data integrity, to increase efficiency, and reduces added costs.Daily review of newly established Deposit Accounts added to the Core system and all changes made to Deposit Accounts, such as, Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA), Savings, Certificate of Deposit (COD), Safety Deposit Box (SDB), IRA and Health Savings Account (HSA) ensuring accuracy in setup and completion of and electronic storage of account governing documents.Monitor CIF (Customer Information File) and File Maintenance Report for Deposit Accounts, such as, DDA, Savings, COD, SDB, IRA and HSAs for changes and to ensure supporting documentation is on file.Maintain outgoing correspondence with various branch staff on outstanding quality assurance tracking issues, making corrections and obtaining any missing information when applicableProcess change of address requests, importation of documents, indexing, and adjusting keywords to Director.Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.Competencies Required:Working knowledge of Fiserv Premier core data system, including data specifications for deposit products, preferred.Knowledge of Banking regulations, including Regulatory requirements for IRA/HSA tax reporting of transactions, preferred.Demonstrate attention to detail and produce accurate, high-quality work.Demonstrate efficient and effective use of digital tools, including Fiserv core system, Director, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, dual monitors, Microsoft Teams, and interest and ability to learn new applications.Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with vendors, consumers, and internal team members.Customer service orientation with developed analytical and problem-solving skills.Possess the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.Required Experience:Your Knowledge and Experience2 to 4 years' financial institution experience.High School Diploma or equivalent required.Working knowledge of Fiserv Premier core data system, including data specifications for deposit products, preferred.Knowledge of Banking regulations, including Regulatory requirements for IRA/HSA tax reporting of transactions, preferred.Demonstrate attention to detail and produce accurate, high-quality work.Demonstrate efficient and effective use of digital tools, including Fiserv core system, Director, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, dual monitors, Microsoft Teams, and interest and ability to learn new applications.Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with vendors, consumers, and internal team members.Customer service orientation with developed analytical and problem-solving skills.Possess the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.From: Bank of Ann ArborBenefits:What We OfferA great place to work!We inspire fresh ideas, bold creativity, and outside-the-box ingenuity by asking, "How can we do banking differently?"
