If you are an experienced Engine Design Release Engineer looking for a position with a leading company, Bartech can help! We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some of the biggest companies in the nation. Our client has a need for a Engine Design Release Engineer. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.
Engine Design Release Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Engine Design Release Engineer will include: Compensation (Range): $46-$48/ hour
Reporting to the Senior Manager PT Design, the person in this role will support the PTD???s objective to build ???World Class Powertrains in North America???
Prototyping, evaluation, design release and localization of these components
Using your knowledge of the Design Process and Standards, outputting typical design team deliverables such as 3D models, 2D drawings, technical reports and instruction sheets.
Attending routine Design Reviews and reporting the key metrics of your design.
Developing counter-measures to achieve design targets such as cost, mass and fatigue strength based on evaluation and quotation results.
Building relationships with key stakeholders (such as drivetrain and vehicle design, TMC engine design, purchasing and assembly plants)
Process improvements, advancing PTD???s design process capability to improve quality and on-time delivery of design deliverables.
Benchmarking similar designs to ensure our competitiveness.

Engine Design Release Engineer
Job Requirements
As a Engine Design Release Engineer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Co-op, Intern or SAE University (Baja, Formula, Formula Hybrid etc) experience in automotive design/development
Bachelor of Science (or above) with a Mech Eng major.
Demonstrable CAD skills and an understanding of GD&T
Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint.
Working knowledge of conventional and hybrid powertrains.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Team-oriented thinking and a ???can-do??? attitude.
