to the edge of the grid and optimize grid operations. We are
leveraging our proven expertise to build new solutions that
leverage real-time data and AI to integrate more clean energy and
support an electrified transportation system.We are expanding our
diverse team of experts and looking for an Embedded Systems
Engineer who is mission-driven, collaborative, and adaptive. This
role requires operating at the nexus of Utilidata's software and
hardware teams focused on supporting internal coordination as the
company continues to grow. -Responsibilities
Design and implement applications
running on Linux systems in C++ and PythonDevelop Linux
applications and review embedded Linux product designs and
configurationAssist/maintain DevOps/software releases and automated
configuration using Github runners and AnsibleDevelop, remediate,
and track the performance of security measures to protect
information and device IoT network infrastructureImplement, test
and operate software security testing and monitoring of Linux field
devices -Perform on-going security testing and code review to
improve software securityInstall and analyze open source software,
and make recommendations for change as needed -Improve performance
and reliability of the server environment through the usage of
HAProxy or similar tools -Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience SW/embedded
systems, including Linux kernel and application
developmentProficient in C++ and/or PythonBS in Computer
Engineering or related fieldKnowledge of version control tools,
preferably GitFamiliarity with Linux OS, networking protocols
TCP/IP, IPv6, NAT, routing, firewallFamiliarity with Linux Kernel
(KSPP) hardening, Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR),
Built-In Object Size Checking (BOSC), stack protection, least
privilege design, and other OS-level security technologiesAbility
to navigate complex issues, independently problem solve, and
operate sound judgment to escalate challenges as neededFamiliarity
with configuring services such as Apache HTTP, SQL, and
BindEnhanced Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience working with Atlassian
tools (JIRA, Confluence)Prior experience as the in-house subject
matter expert for a similarly sized companyExperience with NVIDIA
SoC architectureSalary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 depending on
experience -Location: This position can be performed remotely from
