Then look no further! We are the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the innovations coming from our team drives the future of all of KLA's tools. We play a central role in developing sophisticated long-range technology in collaboration with product divisions and strategic marketing, working in areas such as light sources, lasers, sensors, optics and more. We are engaged at the front end of the research and development process, and once the technology is validated, we partner with product engineering groups who then build products based on the technology we've developed. The Office of the CTO also provides technical mentorship into KLA's strategic planning process, program reviews and Product Life Cycle (PLC) phases. We provide our broad technology expertise and cross-division experience to ensure we take full advantage of the collective knowledge within our company. Where problem solving becomes innovation!
- Responsibilities

  • Conceive and build optical test setups for studying technology feasibility.
  • Simulation and modeling to assist in the design of the setups.
  • May work with high power lasers, precision imaging systems, vacuum systems, etc.
  • Data analysis and presentation to multidisciplinary scientific team. Requirements We are seeking a motivated and skillful early career experimentalist to join our team.
    • PhD in experimental physics, engineering or related fields.
    • Hands-on lab skills, design of experiments, troubleshooting, data collection and analysis.
    • Prior experience in building optical setups or diagnostics.
    • Ability to build control interfaces and 3D modeling software is a plus.
    • Experience with designing and building lasers is a plus.
    • Experience with using optical simulation software like Zemax, Code V, etcis a plus.
    • Standout colleague with excellent written and verbal communication styles.
