related to Facilities and Operations (F&O) applications and
data interfaces to which you are assigned to support. This includes
maintaining performance of secure and versatile systems, assisting
in local, federated and cloud application automation and
integration, ensuring smooth system and application upgrades, and
performing diagnostic tests and end-to-end testing before releasing
the applications and updates for F&O use.This type of support
may require you to guide and support programming work required to
modify applications; set up functions; enter data and processing
information; analyze computer network issues; problem solve and
select the best solution from several options; compile, categorize,
audit and verify data and information from multiple sources;
install software upgrades; perform file and database backup and
recovery; ensure systems security, integration and federation; and
develop and maintain process documentation.Areas of emphasis for
the Applications Systems Analyst position involves comprehensive
support of core F&O applications, primarily including:ArcGIS
Pro (ESRI) - Geographic Information System platform Meridian
(Accruent) - Engineering Document Management System (EDMS)You will
work in a collaborative environment as part of the RECON group
within Facilities and Operations Information Services (FOIS) and
will report to the Information Integration Program Manager. Who We

our mission.Responsibilities
- Application Installation, Configuration and UpgradesInstall and
securely maintain server-based and cloud-based applications for use
by F&O users Test, debug and document applications and
associated updates, configurations and improvements Work with
vendors to coordinate application upgrades, configuration settings,
support and maintenance Ensure system components work together
seamlessly and in federation with other applications and within a
secure infrastructure Manage sandbox and test environments Perform,
guide, support and review supplemental application programming and
scripting efforts in support of customization and performance
improvements Work with the local infrastructure team to develop
plans for physical and virtual server architecture needed to
support efficient and effective enterprise application
performanceApplication Operation and MaintenanceServe as product
administrator or other higher level role required to manage
application operations Evaluate and guide modification of system
performance Conduct application testing and provide database
management support Maintain configuration of authentication and
authorization of directory services User and license management;
including user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions and
public groups Audit and update database tables, create scripts and
validate data using SQLSupport Application Use by F&O
PartnersTroubleshoot problems reported by users (through the IT
ticket system), analyze and isolate issues Identify and gather
application requirements and use cases from users and partners
Communicate with FOIS and other partners on expected impact and
issue handling for configuration updates, new features, upcoming
releases and product roadmaps Resolve complex configuration related
issues in applications experienced by end-users Provide data and
assist with data review and analysis as needed for decision support
activitiesDocumentation and TrainingCreate and maintain
documentation for operational and security audits Maintain guides
for managing application configurations Work with F&O Training
to ensure application changes are communicated to ensure necessary
updates are made to user manuals and training materialsData
SecurityYou will also work to protect data and information from
unauthorized release or from loss, alteration or unauthorized
deletion; and, following applicable regulations and instructions
regarding access to computerized files, release of data as stated
in a computer access agreement. You may work with and support
systems that maintain or process sensitive institutional data as
defined by university policy. You must comply with federal, state,
and local law, and/or university policies or agreements that
require the university to implement specific privacy and security
safeguards, including ITAR, EAR, HIPAA, and FISMA.
RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, engineering
or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of
3 years experience in a complex IT work environment in which you
demonstrated the following: Apply comprehensive knowledge in a
field of specialization towards the completion of difficult
assignments Ability and desire to develop expert knowledge in
software application structures/systems Analyze information systems
operations and provide technical direction and recommendations to
troubleshoot and improve use Analyze records and reports of
production, malfunctions and maintenance needs Understanding and
use of relational database concepts and application support Useful
knowledge in of all phases of applications programming and
development Experience supporting GIS Enterprise and associated
applications Competence in programming and scripting with Arcade or
Python 3 Planning and development of federated server architecture
serving complex, enterprise applications to support performance,
reliability, redundancy, and scalability Expertise in generating
SQL queries for data audits and updates, stored procedures and
ad-hoc reports Provide technical consulting on complex projects and
areas of expertise Design or modify processes to solve complex
problems Plan and participate in an important role in simultaneous,
complex and critical projects Project responsibilities that
includes leadership roles, problem solving and change management
Work and collaborate within a team to complete tasks and projects
Training and customer service skills DesiredQualifications
- Experience supporting an engineering document management system
application Experience maintaining and configuring applications
hosted in the cloud Familiarity with javaScript 4.x Experience in a
corporate or higher education setting Work Locations It is the
expectation that you will locate to a reasonable commuting distance
from the Ann Arbor campus. This position offers the flexibility to
work in a hybrid or primarily remote work environment with the
expectation that some meetings, tasks and projects will require
time spent working on site. Work agreement options are dependent
upon and subject to current university policy (and are subject to
potential changes). Travel to multiple locations on and off campus
