Job Description:
Located in Ann Arbor Michigan, Control Gaging, Inc. is a leading
global manufacturer of measurement and process controls for the
machining industry. Control Gaging supplies the aerospace,
automotive, bearing, defense, heavy truck, home appliance and small
engine industries. We design and manufacture in-process gages that
provide closed-loop feedback to machine controls based on real-time
part measurement. Our product lines include gages for ID, OD, disc,
and centerless grinders; turning machines; polishing/superfinishing
machines, and other machining processes where finished size is
critical. Control Gaging also produces gage systems that can be
integrated into material handling systems so that parts can be
measured while being transported.
We are recruiting for an Electrical Assembly Technician. This
position assembles and tests all of Control Gaging's electrical
products including controllers, control panels, and cables.
Compiles and evaluates test data in accordance with Control Gaging
work instructions and Quality System. Candidates should have
experience reading blueprints, panel wiring, soldering, and cable
assembly. -Electrical test and repair experience is a plus. Control
Gaging's Electrical Assembly Technicians work closely with our
engineering and R&D departments to continually improve products
and create new solutions for our diverse customer base. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and test all CGI electrical products
- Assemble and test all CGI electrical products
- Calibrate monitors
- Recommends modifications to existing or new products to achieve
optimum quality and performance of equipment -Qualification
Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must
be able to perform each of the essential duties listed above
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. - -Education
And/or Experience: High school degree or equivalent and experience
related to electrical assembly or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read,
analyze, and interpret general business documents and manufacturing
work orders. - Must be able to communicate effectively with all
co-workers and management. Mathematical And Software Skills:
Ability to understand and use production schedules, unit-of-measure
conversions, and inch/metric conversions. Reasoning Ability:
Understand and solve problems related to mechanical assembly plus
the ability to follow instructions and do general
problem-solving.Physical Demands: The physical demands described
here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. -While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to talk and hear. - This position is very active and
requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching,
crawling, and climbing all day. - The employee must be able to lift
and/or move items up to 50 pounds. - Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus. Must be able to sit for extended periods while
