Job Description Job Opportunity: Medical Physicist - Radiation
Oncology OVERVIEW: Join a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in
Findlay, Ohio, as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist. This
part-time role involves leveraging your expertise in physics to
develop and implement radiation treatment plans, while ensuring
patient safety and adherence to quality standards. You will
collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to provide
precise treatment tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing
advanced technologies in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities: - Maintain and execute Radiation Oncology Quality
Assurance and Safety program policies and procedures. - Implement
and manage medical physics QA equipment including preventative
maintenance and routine calibrations. - Coordinate on-site coverage
for patient care during clinic hours, including vacations and
illness. - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal
regulations and accreditation standards. - Consult with the
clinical team to ensure safe and effective treatment; oversee
initial physics consultations. - Administer and maintain all
software systems related to treatment planning and QA. - Perform
quality assurance testing on treatment equipment in accordance with
regulatory standards. - Oversee dosimetrist plan reviews and assist
with quality assurance for each patient plan. - Perform dosimetry
functions as needed and present at treatment sessions as required.
- Maintain accurate records pertaining to patient consultations and
quality assurance activities. - Responsible for physics test
credentialing and protocol participation. Qualifications: - Master
of Science degree in physics, biophysics, medical physics,
radiological physics, or a related field. - A minimum of two years
of clinical experience or completion of a clinical Radiation
Oncology residency. - Eligibility for American Board of Radiology
(ABR) certification, to be obtained within three years if not
currently certified. - Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within
30 days). - Eligibility for CRE certification through the state of
Ohio. License and Certification Requirements: - Active Ohio state
license. - Board Certified or Board Eligible status. Findlay, Ohio,
